Alexis Sanchez is continuing to develop his game as a central figure in the Arsenal line-up.

Arsene Wenger deployed the Chilean in an attacking role at the top of a 4-2-3-1 formation as the Gunners easily beat FC Basel 2-0 in the Champions League.

Sanchez provided two assists for Theo Walcott in the first half and his general link up play with the other Arsenal forwards suggests to Wenger that he is only getting better and better in his central role.

"At the moment he looks like he has the ingredients to do very well there," Wenger said at his post-match press conference thanks to Arsenal.com.

"He's getting stronger in every single game."
