Alexis Mac Allister admits he chose to sign for Brighton over Spartak Moscow.

The young Argentine defensive utility has just completed a loan spell with Argentinos Juniors and is expected to start preseason in England.

Mac Allister admits he also had an offer from Spartak, but was eager to play in England.

"Spartak appeared before everyone else, they then called back, but the decision was made," he recalled.

"And it was Brighton. I thought it would be best to play in England."

Mac Allister has a deal with the Seagulls to 2023.
