Alexander-Arnold: This Liverpool team mentally tougher than past sides

Liverpool fullback Trent Alexander-Arnold is adamant they're tougher than past teams.

The Reds faced Burnley, Bayern Munich and Fulham within seven days to remain in the middle of a Premier League title race and to stay in the Champions League.

"Mentally we've been put through a lot of tests this week, but come out with three wins, and that's all you can ask from the lads," he said.

“Maybe a few years ago we might only have won one of those games. Especially against Fulham, maybe a few years ago we definitely wouldn't have got the three points.

“At the business end of the season, three points was vital, especially on days like that when you get tested.

“We conceded a goal, which is never good, but to be able to bounce back and show our character was good for us.

“It all comes from the manager. Everything we do comes from the manager. We try to go out there and play in the way he wants us to play, go and do the things that he wants us to do, so it's important for us to think the way he wants us to think as well.

"We've showed how good a team we're becoming. We're a force to be reckoned with, so it's important for us to come back fit from the internationals for the final bit of the season, to put our all into the final games remaining."
