Alexander-Arnold: Liverpool skipper Henderson takes youngsters under his wing

Trent Alexander-Arnold has revealed that Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has been very helpful to the young players in the squad.

Alexander-Arnold is considered as one of the brightest prospects in the Liverpool team at the moment and the 17-year-old has already managed to establish himself as a regular for the Reds' Under-23 side this season.

The teenager has had the opportunity to train alongside the first team players due to his exploits and he has now hailed club captain Henderson for taking the youngsters 'under his wing'.

Alexander-Arnold told the Liverpool Echo: "It's unbelievable, every day just going in there and being round top quality players and top quality management as well.

"Every day I'm learning something new as well and hopefully if I keep learning I'll keep pushing on and fighting for places.

"I think all the players are really friendly with the young players. They've obviously been there at one point in their career as well.

"I couldn't really pick someone out but I'd say the captain (Jordan) Henderson took us under his wing, talked to us about how hard it's going to be but obviously we're good enough to be there, that's why we're there."
