Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain ponders leaving Liverpool in January

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is preparing to leave Liverpool.

The Daily Mail says he is leaving Liverpool - but faces a dilemma over his pending exit as he decides whether to go in January or depart as a free agent.

There is growing Premier League interest in the former Arsenal star ahead of this month's transfer deadline, with a number of English clubs and teams abroad keen on signing Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Oxlade-Chamberlain is virtually certain to leave Anfield either this month or in July when his contract officially expires.

With a host of players throughout European football in his position also available for free at the end of the season there are no guarantees the 29-year-old will have the options he has now.

A free transfer exit this summer would likely prove more lucrative for Oxlade-Chamberlain, given the attractive signing-on fees attached to Bosman deals.
