Alex Collado has considered quitting football altogether at Barcelona.

With his contract running down and finding himself frozen out from the senior squad, Sport says Collado has seriously thought about early retirement and walking away from the game.

Barca president Laporta, aware of the midfielder's emotional situation, called him personally, encouraged him and told him that he would try to fix it with the LaLiga.

For the moment, Collado hasn't been registered for the LaLiga and finds himself in limbo.

There's now hope Laporta can find a special permission agreement with the LaLiga in order to register Collado.
