Alejandro Garnacho cuts short summer break to join Man Utd preseason early

Alejandro Garnacho has cut short his summer break to join Manchester United preseason ahead of schedule.

FA Youth Cup winner Garnacho has returned early as he aims to impress new manager Erik ten Hag.

Garnacho, 17, played for Argentina Under-20s in the Toulon Tournament in France this month and last featured on June 10 in fifth place play-off win over Japan.

United's international participants in June are entitled to a three-week break but Garnacho has reported for pre-season training at United 17 days after his last appearance, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Garnacho made his United debut in the 1-1 draw with Chelsea in April and also emerged on the final day of last season in the defeat at Crystal Palace.

He turns 18 on Friday.
