Liverpool legend John Aldridge believes Brendan Rodgers' team boasts the best attack in the country.
Aldridge wrote in the Sunday World: "Manchester City have great attacking firepower, but for sheer pace, invention and finishing qualities, Liverpool's front four are second to none in England's top flight and that's why they are favourites to secure a top-four finish this season.
"Everyone knows Liverpool do not have a defence that is ready to challenge for the title right now and it means the front four are having to produce two or more goals in every game to win matches. Thankfully, they are proving to be up to the task so far."
