Liverpool legend John Aldridge is in awe of the current team's scoring power.
Aldo wrote in the Sunday World: "When you look back on the Liverpool teams since my days as their chief goal-getter, we had a decade of indifference in the 1990s and then some moderate success under Gerard Houllier and Rafael Benitez. However, their tactics were not always the most thrilling in an attacking sense.
"This is why I suggest we are watching the most potent attacking line-up fielded by Liverpool in a quarter of a century - and the statistics are there to back up that bold statement.
"Manchester City may be hogging all the headlines right now for their extraordinary goal-scoring exploits, but Liverpool are only nine goals behind the total City have scored this season and a massive 12 ahead of Arsenal, who are the third highest scorers in the Premier League.
"Luis Suarez, Daniel Sturridge, Philippe Coutinho, Steven Gerrard and Raheem Sterling are all capable of scoring goals and they are delivering with impressive consistency against a variety of opponents."
