Albertini added to Parma board

Demetrio Albertini has taken a place on Parma's board to assist the club's administrators.

The Ducali were declared bankrupt last month.

"The administrators called me asking for help," Albertini told a Press conference.

"They said 'we're professionals who don't come from the footballing world'. It's important to have thing in place at an administrative level to finish the season, and to have a relationship with the team.

"I have made myself available to them, my responsibilities will be the sporting aspects.

"Of course, the most important is [Coach Roberto] Donadoni, but the duty of the receivers is to clear the sporting debt, so when we have to talk to the players, I can talk.

"I will not be a sporting director, Parma already have [Alessandro] Melli, I've spoken to him recently.

"I'll be communicating with the administrators, I'll speak with the Lega when the receivers deem it necessary, because I know them from my past."
