Jordi Alba is urging Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde to stay.

The left-back was full of praise for Valverde and he wants the coach to stay on past this season.

"He has given me great confidence since the first minute," said Alba.

"I hope that he renews.

"Hopefully we will both renew!
