It looks certain that Newcastle United striker Joselu will be on his way out of St James' Park.
It has been a largely frustrating time for the striker, as he has played second-fiddle to Salomon Rondon throughout the season.
La Liga side Alaves are looking to get a deal thrashed out for the man who cost United £5million two years ago, says Chronicle Live.
However, Joselu must wait to see the outcome of United's negotiations with Rafa Benitez before getting the nod to return to Spain.
If Benitez stays on as boss, he will sanction the sale of Joselu, providing he gets a replacement in terms of a back-up forward.
But even if he is replaced, United will have no issue moving Joselu on for the right price - and Alaves seem prepared to make a fair offer for the player.
Joselu said last week he was waiting to see what happens at St James' Park but reports in Mundo Deportivo say it is now just a "matter of time" for a sale to go through.
