Alaves striker Bojan Krkic keen on Stoke return this month

Alaves striker Bojan Krkic is eager to return to parent club Stoke City this month.

Bojan is on a season-long loan to Alaves in La Liga – but the deal could be ended in January if all three parties agree, says The Sentinel.

Stoke are aware of the situation and now the decision will ultimately fall to new manager Paul Lambert, who was appointed as Mark Hughes's successor yesterday.

Alaves – on their third manager of the campaign – are keen to reduce their wage bill and Bojan has been one of three of the higher earning players who they are prepared to let go.

Reports in Spain suggest that Bojan, Aleksander Katai and Christian Santos were not paid for three months, although all bills are now settled. They have been frozen out recently in an apparent attempt to force the issue.
