Alaves coach De Biasi refusing to consider Enzo Zidane for selection

Alaves coach Gianni de Biasi has failed to be won over by Enzo Zidane.

The son of Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane, Enzo signed permanently for Alaves in the summer.

However, since the arrival of Di Biasi as manager, Enzo has not even been in the match day squad for six consecutive Liga games.

At the start of the season, under Luis Zubeldía, the 22-year-old featured in matches against Barcelona and Celta but the departure of the Argentinean after a dreadful start to the season for the Basque outfit led to a change in Enzo's fortunes.

Asked by Tribalfootball.com about working with Enzo, De Biasi said days into his appointment: "Zidane is another guy with very big potentials. He used to play in second division the last season and now he's at his really first experience in La Liga.

"He has talent, a good athletic shape and I'm sure he can have good chances all over the current season.

"Of course he will pay a duty at the beginning, but he has will, he's a really serious boy and I think that, at the end, he will be able to find an important place in our team."
