Al Tawoon coach Chamusca: Ronaldo arrival lifted everyone in Saudi Pro League

Al Tawoon coach Péricles Chamusca is preparing to face Al Nassr star Cristiano Ronaldo,

Chamusca is currently the only Brazilian coach in the Saudi Pro League.

On the former Manchester United star's arrival, Chamusca said: "For five years now, the government has invested heavily in football, so much so that they have increased from seven to eight foreign players per team, and always bringing in players of a high level, which raises the level of the league.

"This investment is logical, it is much higher in big clubs, but it happens in general in all clubs. By bringing in a player of Cristiano Ronaldo's level, that investment now goes to a new level. It is going to a next phase, which is a level even higher.

"I think that, in general, everyone had the same feeling. With the arrival of Cristiano [Ronaldo] the motivation increases, the level of the league increases and the visibility of all professionals as well. So I think everyone had that feeling, that it is a new moment within the league in Saudi Arabia, and that this is positive for all people, all athletes and professionals who are involved in football in Saudi Arabia today."
