Al Fahim tells Portsmouth: I'm going nowhere

Portsmouth chairman Sulaiman Al Fahim insists he's not going anywhere.

Al Fahim as speaking out to deny reports he would sell his 10 per cent share to owner Ali Al Faraj.

He told The News: "Contrary to speculation, I have no intention whatsoever of selling my shareholding in Portsmouth Football Club.

"I am very proud to own a 10 per cent share in a club that I believe, now as much as ever, has a strong future.

"There is much work to be done in the coming months, from restructuring the business so it works on a sound footing, to developing both the team and all associated facilities including the stadium."

He added: "As chairman of the club and a shareholder, I look forward to working with the rest of the board and other shareholders as we go forward.

"My investment in the club is for the long term - and by that, I mean many, many years."
