Sulaiman Al Fahim will focus more of his energies on Portsmouth after leaving his position as CEO of Hydra Properties.
The News says his departure from his role with Hydra Properties will have no bearing on his £60m takeover of the Blues.
A spokesman for Al Fahim said: "The funding for the Portsmouth takeover is completely separate to the doctor's work with Hydra Properties.
"There is no relationship so there is no impact in terms of the takeover. His exit from the role of chief executive at Hydra Properties means he will have less responsibility for the day-to-day running of the company.
"As such, that gives the doctor more time to work on Portsmouth."
