Prospective Portsmouth owner Dr Sulaiman Al Fahim charmed a select group of fans in a meet-and-greet on Friday afternoon.
The News says the privileged Pompey few sat around a table with Al Fahim, with permission to speak frankly.
Members of Portsmouth Supporters' Club central branch were among them, along with those from the advisory panel and executive chairman Peter Storrie.
Nigel Tresidder, chairman of Portsmouth Supporters' Club central branch, said: "I think it's outstanding that the man has come here and called for supporters to meet him so he could listen to their views.
"This is definitely someone who will take us in the right direction as long as the ownership is sorted out.
"He never spoke a lot about what was going to happen because of due diligence, but we still were in there for 30 minutes. I am quite privileged that the last three owners have met me in person.
"How many other Premier League clubs does that happen at?
"I just hope everything happens because he can take us to the next step."
