Al Ahli plot ambitious swoop for Swansea striker Gomis

Middle Eastern giants Al Ahli have targeted Swansea City attacker Bafetimbi Gomis in a surprise £6million pursuit.

The Daily Mirror has reported that the French international has been offered a huge contract offer to leave the Liberty Stadium despite only joining the Swans from Lyon last summer.

Al Ahili are trying to attract big players to their club in Dubai, and after Gomis admitted he was unhappy during his first season in England, there may be a chance he will leave the Premier League for the UAE.

Swansea have also made the recent signing of Portuguese striker Eder for a £5million deal, and have tabled two bids for Reading forward Hal Robson-Kanu as they seek a potential replacement for Gomis.
