Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake is unfazed by speculation surrounding his future.

The Dutchman has been linked with Manchester City and former club Chelsea.

Asked whether a move came close on last week's deadline day, Ake said: "No, I think obviously a few things happened but I just made sure I kept focused on here.

"You never know what can happen but I kept focused on this club and made sure I gave everything for Bournemouth.

"It's all in the papers and stuff. Obviously, it's nice to see those things but you can't do anything with it.

"The only thing you can do is try to play well for the team, play well for the manager and for the club and that's what I shall do."

He added: "I am still at Bournemouth. I am a Bournemouth player and I will give everything for this club.

"It's still the same, trying to do well for the team, trying to finish higher than last season and that's my focus now."
