Ake hopeful Bournemouth can extend unbeaten streak

Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake says that it is important for Bournemouth to retain their unbeaten start to the season for as long as they can.

Ake got one of the goals for his side in a 2-2 draw against ten-man Everton at home in the Premier League.

Ake knows it was a valuable point, while it also preserved their unbeaten start three games into the season.

He admits the team wanted to win given their man advantage for much of the game, but was happy enough with a point.

He told the Daily Echo: "We are still unbeaten and I think that's very important.

"We want to win every home game but after a game like that, conceding two and coming back, overall, it was a good point.

"Straight away we came out in the second half and everything was slower. We just didn't feel right," he said. "The second goal was very bad with the marking and how we left the guys so open.

"We weren't happy with that but it showed our character that we came back and I was happy with the point."
