Ajax are being urged to move for Tottenham midfielder Steven Bergwijn.

Ajax are in the market for a new attacking midfielder and local pundit Mike Verweij says they should consider Bergwijn ahead of FC Nordsjaelland attacker Kamaldeen Sulemana.

He told the De Telegraaf podcast: "I would think Steven Bergwijn is a very good alternative, although he did play last week. I would think that would be a great player for Ajax and you can also hand out a tease to Eindhoven.

"A player who sold PSV has now returned to the Eredivisie. PSV has of course did the other way around with Malen. He went to England from Ajax's youth and was brought back by PSV."
