Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana says Liverpool striker Sadio Mane should've won the Ballon d'Or last night.

Barcelona star Leo Messi won a sixth Ballon d'Or title at the Paris ceremony.

But Onana told TMW: "Leo is the best in the world but I think Mané deserved the award too.

"He and (Mohamed) Salah did very well last year and this must be recognised even without the prize."

The Cameroon keeper was also asked about the African Player of the Year: "I don't know. What is certain is that they are all very strong players."
