Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt admits he welcomes interest from Barcelona.

The Dutch youngster is on the radar of Barca sports chief Robert Fernandez.

"My favorite team in Spain is Barcelona because of the connection they have with Ajax and beautiful football," said the 18 year-old.

"There are many things that have been written and, as I do not know anything, why should I be worried?

"Every player is affected by being linked to great teams, and I am not different, but I do not care much; I play at Ajax and I am happy here."
