Ajax coach Erik ten Hag has intimated he doesn't want to lose defender Noussair Mazraoui.

Mazraoui has been linked with a January move to Tottenham.

But ahead of their Champions League tie at Chelsea, Ten Hag stated: "He has developed well and has a lot of potential.

"Noussair is a defender in the typical Ajax style. He has proven himself last season and has even become an international of Morocco.

"This season he started less, although he has been going in recent weeks better again. I'm happy with that, because we need a strong squad."
