Ajax chief executive and former Manchester United star Edwin van der Sar has reacted to Donny van de Beek's move to Old Trafford.

Van der Sar and Ajax have agreed a £40m to let the Netherlands international join the Premier League giants.

The Dutchman's former United teammate, Rio Ferdinand, tweeted about the signing.

Ferdinand tweeted a message which read: "Good Evening @Donny_beek6" accompanied with eyes emoji, to which Van der Sar responded with a crying face emoji.
