Ajax chief Marc Overmars has warned off interested clubs for Ajax defender Matthijs De Ligt.

De Ligt has had a fine start to the season and is being linked with Barcelona and Manchester City.

At just 19, defender De Ligt is rated among the best players for his age across Europe.

"The chances of De Ligt leaving Ajax in January are zero per cent," Overmars told LaRoma24.it.

On a potential summer move, he said: "It's a possibility."
