Ajax sports chief Marc Overmars admits he urged Matthijs de Ligt to join Barcelona.
The former Ajax captain has started the season at Juventus on the bench.
Overmars, once of Barca, told SER Catalunya: "Matthijs de Ligt to Juventus? It's a decision of the player.
"For my part, I always talked to him about FC Barcelona.
"I'm always positive about Barca."
