Ajax football chief Marc Overmars is being linked with a return to Barcelona.

Overmars is a former Barca player and Esport3 reports he is set to step down as technical director at Ajax.

However, he won't be out of work for long, with the Dutchman lined up for a job at Barca.

It's claimed Overmars will replace Ramon Planes at the Blaugrana.

He enjoys a good relationship with the existing football department at Barca, having negotiated the sales of Sergino Dest and Frenkie de Jong to the club over the past year.
