Ajax attacker David Neres leaves door open to Everton move

Ajax attacker David Neres says he's staying on the margins of transfer talk this summer.

Neres has admitted he's interested in a Premier League switch, amid speculation that Everton are trying to lure him to Goodison Park.

The 22-year-old winger was a key figure in the Ajax team that made it to the semi-finals of the Champions League, beating the likes of Real Madrid and Juventus along the way.

“I try to stay focused on what's happening on the pitch, and on the competition I'm playing in. I leave those things to my agents to deal with," he said.

But Neres did confirm that he had thought about playing Premier League football, and didn't rule out the prospect of playing there at some point in his career.

He added: “Of course the Premier League interests me. It's the best league in the world, and I've always wanted to play there. But I leave all that in God's hands."
