Ajax ace Dusan Tadic is adamant they should be European champions.

Ajax lost a dramatic Champions League semifinal to Tottenham last season, which were eventually beaten by Liverpool in the final.

However, Tadic insists: "If Ajax had gotten what it deserved against Tottenham, we would have defeated Liverpool in the final.

"We would not play as badly as Tottenham and be much more inspired than Liverpool. The confidence of the Ajax players was so powerful that Liverpool would not have been able to cope, period."

On Ajax's poor Champions League campaign this season, Tadic also declared: "UEFA has acknowledged that some important decisions have been taken to the disadvantage of Ajax. However, if the damage has already been suffered, it is too late. Nothing helps then."

The Dutch giants were dumped out of their group and also lost their Europa League round 32 tie to Getafe.
