Ajax management fear taking a major hit on their valuation for Donny van de Beek.
The Holland midfielder remains a top transfer target for Real Madrid president Florentino Perez - who has twice had a deal in place for the player, only for it to be vetoed by coach Zinedine Zidane both last summer and this past January.
However, Florentino still remains keen and spies a bargain deal given the coronavirus situation. He was willing to pay €55m during the winter market, but now is confident of landing Van de Beek for much less this summer.
The reduction of Europe's transfer market is something Ajax are growing to accept, with a source telling Voetbal International: "No club will now pay 50 million for Donny van de Beek..."
