Sergio Aguero is likely to sign a contract extension with Manchester City.

According to the Manchester Evening News, the Argentine striker is set to put pen to a fresh one-year deal which will see him remain at the Etihad Stadium until the summer of 2020.

Reports this season have suggested that Aguero, 27, will return to former club Independiente when his current City deal expires but the it appears as though he will stay for a further 12 months.

The former Atletico Madrid star is believed to be very happy in Manchester and is reported to have already agreed the extension with the club for whom he has scored 124 goals in 188 appearances since arriving in 2011.
