Agents tell Chelsea they're trailing Liverpool, Real Madrid in Bellingham battle

Chelsea are joining the transfer battle for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham.

The 19-year-old has attracted the attention of the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City and Real Madrid with his performances for the German side. His stock could also rise at this year's World Cup, where he is expected to form a key part of England's midfield.

Bellingham is valued at around £130million by Dortmund, who will be keen on retaining one of their prize assets.

The Telegraph says Chelsea have already been dealt a blow in their pursuit of the player as the new owners at Stamford Bridge have been told they are behind Liverpool and Real Madrid.

Chelsea, who splurged more than £270m in a record transfer spend in the summer, are playing catch up as they look to lure Bellingham to west London.
