Agents for Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane aim to open talks with Manchester United this week.
The Mirror says the defender rejected Real Madrid's offer of a two-year extension to his contract, which has 12 months remaining, and is set on leaving the LaLiga club after 10 years in Spain.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are one of the main teams interested in signing the 28-year-old this summer and Varane's agents are hoping to meet with United this week.
United want to strenghthen their defensive options and have also been linked with a move for Kieran Trippier.
Varane, who is currently comepeting at Euro 2020 with France, is reportedly unhappy that Real chose to negotiate with Luka Modric, Lucas Vazquez and Sergio Ramos ahead of him.
