Dutch agent Rob Jansen has revealed Marco van Ginkel never wanted to join Chelsea.
Currently on-loan at PSV Eindhoven, the Dutch midfielder joined Chelsea in 2013 from Vitesse Arnhem.
"His dream was Ajax, he wanted to go there and he had a contract for one year. Ajax had just formed a very new technical policy and said that it would never want to pay more than five million euros for a transfer. That was then the utopian idea of Ajax," Jansen told Rondo.
"Chelsea wanted him, but Marco said, 'I do not want Chelsea at all. I want to stay here and I want to go to Ajax'.
"Ajax made a sublime offer to Vitesse and Vitesse replied with the fact that they were not talking about it. Chelsea were determined."
