Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho is eyeing a deal for Metz striker Habib Diallo.
Diallo, 24, has been linked with Chelsea this past season, however his agent has declared the interest of Mourinho and Spurs this past weekend.
Local Metz-based newspaper Le Republicain Lorrain reported in January that Chelsea had submitted a failed bid for Diallo of €20 million. At the time of the bid, Diallo had scored an impressive 10 goals in 19 Ligue 1 appearances.
The Senegal international eventually stayed with Metz and played out the season before it was canceled due to the coronavirus suspension. He finished the campaign with 12 goals in 26 league games.
The 25 year-old has a contract with Metz to 2022.
Agent Thierno Seydi, while not touching on the Chelsea offer, revealed a bid had been received from England - but from Spurs.
Seydi told the Senegalese Press Agency via Le 10 Sport: "Already in January, there was an offer from Tottenham.
"As soon as the European markets open, it should be settled."
