The agent of Ajax left-back Nicolas Tagliafico expects him to stay - despite interest from Arsenal.

Arsenal are believed to be keen on the 13-times capped defender, who was viewed as a potential upgrade on both Nacho Monreal and Sead Kolasinac by Unai Emery.

Speaking to InterDipendenza.net, Ricardo Schlieper said: “Nicolas has just signed a contract for the next season, and will stay at Ajax.

“The new agreement includes an important salary increase.

"Marc Overmars has raised his salary, with the intention of making him stay one more year."
