The agent of Martin Skrtel says the Liverpool defender is facing crunch time this summer.

The experienced centre-half is being linked with Napoli.

Karol Ksonto told Radio Kiss Kiss: "My client's contract will expire in 2016 and in football there is a saying that is always present: never say never.

"To date I have not had any contact with Napoli, which instead made an approach just under two years ago, the first year of Rafa Benitez on the Azzurri bench. But then it all came to nothing.

"I can say that Liverpool has proposed to Skrtel a contract renewal for the next three years and that the player will assess the situation with the club because it is a good proposal.

"In football anything can happen, even if I see the Napoli option as difficult since the three-year renewal that has been proposed to my client."
