The agent of Juventus striker David Trezeguet says Hercules are favourites to land the France international.
It appears that a switch to Spain could now be in the offing, with Real Zaragoza and Hercules having leapt to the front of the queue.
Trezeguet's agent admits he has already held discussions with both clubs, and has hinted that a move to Alicante would appeal to his client.
"On Wednesday I spoke with Zaragoza and Hercules officials and those talks are ongoing," Antonio Caliendo told L'Equipe.
"Hercules hold the advantage because David's wife is from Alicante, so that could be important.
"It could be arranged that he will go there on a two-year contract. We have two other offers to consider, but that is the most appealing.
"We have a meeting scheduled with Juventus officials on Saturday when the matter will be discussed further."
