The agent of Ibrahim Afellay has denied an agreement with Atletico Madrid for the PSV Eindhoven midfielder.

Afellay was said to have struck terms with Atletico, despite rival interest from Liverpool and Manchester United.

But agent Rob Jansen insisted: "We have not reached any agreement with any club whatsoever. Not even with Atletico.

"Some of the names in the press are correct, but I do not wish to confirm any one."
