Agent reveals Genk fullback Daniel Munoz offered to Everton, Fiorentina

KRC Genk fullback Daniel Munoz was offered to Everton over the summer.

His agent has claimed that Everton could have signed the 25-year-old Colombian.

“We were offering the player to Rafa Benitez's Everton, but then we also talked about it with Fiorentina," his agent, Diego Carannante, told Fiorentina.it.

Fiorentina liked the player but didn't have the budget to buy him because there was a difference of 5 million between the 15 million that Genk were asking for and the eight million-plus of Fiorentina.

“Initially, they had offered seven million but then I think they wanted to take a player on loan.

“An experienced profile like Odriozola arrived from Real Madrid, although I think Munoz could give more guarantees for the Italian game.

“Now Munoz has stayed at Genk and has been called up by the Colombian national team; in January, we will see if there is a possibility of a transfer."
