Agent reveals Arsenal plans for Jakub Kiwior

Arsenal finalised the second signing of the January transfer window in Jakub Kiwior.

The Polish international has signed for a fee of £21 million and will play for the club until 2027.

Arsenal wanted to add another left-footed defender to their squad as an understudy for Gabriel Magalhaes.

Kiwior's agent, Pawel Zimonczyk stated in an interview with Kanal Sportowy: "The plan is clear. When I went to London Colney, there was a tactical board where the players in each position were listed. There was an empty space under Gabriel, I don't know if it was a tactical play to get us a little bit.

"His role will be to compete with Gabriel, but Kiwior has the versatility to play in other positions. What impressed me the most was Arsenal's 'Welcome to family' slogan under the post after welcoming Jakub to this team.

"You can feel the family atmosphere there, the mutual respect by everyone at the club.

"Regarding the English language, there were already first lessons yesterday. Kiwior understands practically everything. With coach Arteta, they spoke Italian and English alternately. Man of the match, after all, has to give an interview in English."
