The agent of Inter Milan fullback Douglas Maicon has played down the prospect of a late move to Real Madrid.
Maicon is out of Inter Milan's squad for tonight's Serie A opener with Bologna.
"Maicon was not called up because of a physical problem, specifically muscular," agent Antonio Caliendo told Tuttomercatoweb.
"Real did not ask for him again and I doubt the talks can re-open two days before the deadline, but the transfer market is unpredictable and you can never say never."
