The agent of Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema admits he'd like to return to Lyon - but only after he retires.
Karim Djaziri can see Benzema playing out his days with Real.
He told OL TV: "Today, with the situation he lives in Real, he is at the height of what a player wants. Playing for Real, be very close to your coach, adored by the public. Today, it is not possible at the moment, for this season and the following.
"But it is in a corner of his head. Yeah I think it's possible. If he has the legs and he thinks it's time to go and do something good, he will come back. If he is not as a player, I see him returning to OL in another role perhaps. I know he really wants to.
"After, since he left Lyon, Karim has only one desire, it is to return to Lyon. Will it be as a player… When there was the era of the Lacazette, Tolisso, Fekir generation, there was great potential. And a player like Benzema could have passed a course for OL. It remains a regret for Karim not to have gone further in the Champions League.
"When it went wrong with (Jose) Mourinho, he said to me: 'I want to go back to Lyon', I said to him: 'No, you're going to force it and you're going to get there'. And he got there when it was extremely difficult with a coach who didn't want him to stay and he managed to change his mind."
