The agent of Gareth Bale has again insisted he is committed to Real Madrid.

Bale was dumped for Real's shock Copa del Rey defeat at home to Real Sociedad in midweek and angered fans when he was seen skipping out on his teammates 15 minutes before the final whistle.

But Jonathan Barnett has branded those concerned as "perfect idiots", telling AS: "He loves Real Madrid, whatever people say about him. They write a lot of nonsense about Gareth. As if he didn't speak Spanish. He speaks Spanish! The people who say that don't know him, they seem like perfect idiots who talk about someone they don't know.

"Yes, he loves Madrid, the city and the life he leads there."

Bale was linked with a January return to Tottenham last month.

But Barnett insists: "I can assure you that (coach Zinedine) Zidane likes him, that Madrid likes Gareth Bale. There is no problem between Zidane and Gareth. People write on the subject, but I stop, I don't care."
