The agent of Gareth Bale has launched a new attack on Real Madrid, their fans and the local media.

The Wales captain will come off contract in June, with no chance of renewing his agreement.

Jonathan Barnett told Cuatro: "He deserves a good finish from the club. We have not yet decided on the future. The president has been very good, very loyal and very supportive.

"In the next twenty years, fans will see how good Bale was, and they will regret it.

"You have to ask (Carlo) Ancelotti why he's not playing. It's not Gareth Bale's decision. I can't criticise Ancelotti but it's his decision.

"He speaks Spanish. What happens is that people who don't know him speak. Stupid, ignorant people who didn't talk to him. It's a shame. He was very happy in Madrid, he arrived when he was young, his children were born there, he gave a lot of money to Spanish hospitals through covid (€500,000) and he loves the city and the club and I think the parasites are those who talk badly about him."
