The agent of Mateo Musacchio has hit out at AC Milan management.

The defender hasn't been seen since February.

“As things stand, Mateo will stay at Milan until July and then we'll see," Marcelo Lombilla told Calciomercato.com.

“Only I am authorised to speak for him, and despite the reports, I have not had any contact with Genoa. It's a strange and uncertain situation for everyone, I don't understand why he has been treated this way when he gave everything for the team, even playing with pain-killing injections, and that caused him the injury.

“However, that is football for you. Pioli was practically fired a few months ago and now he is treated like Pep Guardiola. We have to wait for the right opportunity in life.

“Mateo is a professional, so he is helping and cheering on his teammates for the most important objective, which is to have the team go as far as possible. He never created problems in 13 years of his career in Europe and this will be no different.

“He loved Milan from the first day and continues to love it with all his heart. We never spoke to the club about extending his contract."
