The agent of Ajax defender Jurrien Timber has teased Manchester United fans on social media.

United manager Erik ten Hag had made the Ajax defender a priority transfer target this summer. However, it has been claimed Timber has been talked out of the move by Holland coach Louis van Gaal.

Timber has reservations about a move to Old Trafford as he's been warned it could jeopardise his place at international level ahead of the World Cup.

But fresh developments today suggest the ground has again shifted. His representative Revien Kanhai uploaded a picture of the city to his Instagram story along with the caption: “Love to travel for work".

United officials have been in Amsterdam this week for talks with Ajax over several of their players.
