The agent of Lazio striker Ciro Immobile admits a move to Napoli was close.

Immobile was born in Naples, but has never played for his hometown club.

“Before he went to Lazio, Napoli were an idea," Alessandro Moggi told Radio Kiss Kiss.

“However, because someone kicked up a fuss, it all ended with nothing done.

“We're talking about a deal worth than €10m, or €9.4m to be exact.

“We must congratulate the competence of President (Claudio) Lotito and his top-notch sporting director, Igli Tare.

“Now he's doing well for Lazio, he has a contract until 2023. He wants to stay."
